This post will include a detailed description of Cerclorium's plot to ensure that you have a complete understanding of it.

What is Cerclorium? Cerclorium is a planet very similar to Earth. In fact, 75% of Cerclorium's population are humans, descendants of the first pilgrims that came to Cerclorium seeking refuge after Earth was destroyed. The other 15% consist of cyborgs, androids, grey aliens, and other humanoids.

Click for a more detailed summary of how Earth blew up.:

To make the following more simpler, we'll divide Cerclorium into three groups:

1. Sorai + SAGE Because this unique planet revolves but never rotates, one hemisphere is always facing the sun; hence the sunny side hemisphere--or Sorai--is always daytime and maintains an average temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit year round. Located in Sorai is an organization called Society Aiding General Eudomania, or SAGE. As its name suggests, SAGE is specifically designated to helping Cerclorium's inhabitants live a long, healthy life full of peace and harmony. Most SAGE role-playing takes place at or near the SAGE Headquarters.

2. Vlysen + ORCAS On the hemisphere facing away from the sun lies a cold and frozen over land named Vlysen. It receives no sunlight whatsoever; except for the artificial lights provided, Vlysen is forever darkness. A group can also be found here; a rebel organization, Organization of Rebel Citizens Against SAGE. ORCAS has discovered a small, dormant, and seemingly harmless creature named Myroeg. The members of this group wish to revive Myoreg after discovering that he has powers that could aid ORCAS in world domination. SAGE, however, believes that this being could be a potential threat and is trying to stop ORCAS. Most ORCAS role-playing takes place at or near the ORCAS Headquarters.

3. Mya'rag + Neutrals Mya'rag is the area between Sorai and Vlysen's borders. It receives some sunlight but not as much as Sorai, and not as little as Vlysen; Mya'rag generally has the same lighting as Earth would during sunset, right before nightfall. Likewise, Mya'rag has an average neutral temperature range of 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit. The people who have chosen not to partake in the war between SAGE and ORCAS are the Neutrals. The majority of the Neutrals live in Cerclorium City, the capital city and heart of the planet. Most Neutral role-playing takes place in or near Cerclorium City.

This post will include a step-by-step guide on how to make your character and begin role-playing.

1. Decide whether you want to join SAGE, ORCAS, or neither (Neutrals).
2. Read this.
3. Determine your character's species, serial number, skills and traits.
4. Fill out this form and send it via private message to Tsar, Vinder or Spanner (depending on which group you're joining).
5. Fill out the Condensed Character Form and post it on that thread.
6. Go to your profile, click on ID Sheet, and fill it out.
7. Your leader will pm you further instructions and provide you with certain links.
8. If you wish, you may make two more neutral characters.
9. Post the form(s) of your secondary character(s) on the Condensed Character Form Thread.
10. If you have any questions, you can post it in this forum or pm someone with a purple username (a general helper Wink)

PostSubject: Spying 101   All You Need to Know About Cerclorium: A Newbie's Detailed Guide EmptyWed Feb 03, 2016 4:16 pm

If you are a member of SAGE or ORCAS and you wish to spy on the opposing organization...

1. Ask your leader for permission before anything else.
2. If you are granted permission to spy, you will have to make another account on Cerclorium which requires another email address. If you don't have a second email address, your leader will provide you with one. Sign up with your second account; make your true identity as less obvious as possible and instead, lead everyone else to believe that you're just an innocent person who decided Cerclorium looked fun and signed up Twisted
3. Send the same form to the leader of the opposite side that you sent to your own leader when you first signed up.
4. Before you begin role-playing, remember that essentially its your character who's spying, not you. Only provide your side with information that your character could have received between the time they "joined" the other side and the present.
5. Commence role-playing on the RP-thread of the other side. In Character you would have temporarily left your own headquarters to spy on the other organization, so you can only role-play on the thread of the organization you're spying on.
6. Unless you actually want to get caught In Character, don't tell or imply to anyone that you're a spy!
7. Contact your own headquarters via private message with the information you get.
8. If you're confused about anything or need something clarified, don't hesitate at all to ask your leader so they can elaborate!

PostSubject: Role-playing Guide   All You Need to Know About Cerclorium: A Newbie's Detailed Guide EmptyWed Feb 03, 2016 4:19 pm

This post will explain the dos and don'ts of good RPing.

All role-playing and writing styles are permitted here; however, there are some guidelines to good role-playing we prefer you follow.

1. Grammar + Spelling: It is a must that you use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation in your posts. If you aren't a native English speaker that's understandable, but try your best to be coherent. Occasional typos are fine, but if you aren't a good speller make use of your spellcheck and auto-correct, okay?

Bad Roleplaying Example wrote:
John silently draw hsi gun and remainwd hiden inside fo teh trenc,.
Good Roleplaying Example wrote:
John silently drew his gun and remained hidden inside of the trench.

No fragments or run-ons either!

Bad Roleplaying Example wrote:
John silently drew his gun and remained hidden inside of the trench he was waiting to receive orders from the commander. to fire at the enemy.
Good Roleplaying Example wrote:
John silently drew his gun and remained hidden inside of the trench, waiting to receive orders from the commander to fire at the enemy.

2. Courtesy: Do not control other people's characters/powerplay! The only actions you can describe are the ones of your own characters! In the examples, John is one user's character, and Jill is another user's character.

Bad Roleplaying Example wrote:
The order came. John jumped up and fired at Jill. She let out a cry and darted behind a rock, firing back at him.

Good Roleplaying Example wrote:
The order came. John jumped up and fired at Jill. He watched as his shot flew towards her, before realising it was likely she would shoot back, and dropped behind cover again.

This rule also applies to fighting and or wounding people. You may attack people, but leave it up to the other user to decide how damaging the wound is/if the attack actually did any damage. Another aspect of this is that you can't kill anyone without their permission.

Bad Roleplaying example wrote:
The order came. John leapt up and fired at Jill, his gun shaking in his hand. The shot hit her right between her eyes, killing her instantly.

Good Roleplaying Example wrote:
The order came. John leapt up and fire and Jill, his gun shaking in his hand. He ducked back behind shelter before he could see if he had hit her or not.

3. Overpowered/Mary sue/Gary stue characters: Overpowered, or OP, characters are just an annoyance to everyone involved. No person can do everything perfectly first try, so why should your character? No one can make it out of a battle unscathed, so why should your character? Having overpower characters may seem fun, but if they're too OP, you can't grow or develop them.

Bad Roleplaying Example wrote:
Jill heard the gunshot and leapt out of the way, watching the laser flash past her face. She jumped, landing directly above John's position - about two miles away - and grinned down at him, placing her gun on his forehead.

Good Roleplaying Example wrote:
Jill heard the gunshot and darted to one side, but she was too slow. The shot hit her in the arm, and she let out a cry, dropping her gun. Tears in her eyes, she picked her weapon up again and fired a shot back.

This also applies to people getting things right first time, every time. It just doesn't happen.

4. Length: While this isn't as important, it is much appreciated if you give a good length in your replies. This gives more information for your partner to reply to.

Bad Roleplaying Example wrote:
John ducked as Jill's shot flew over his head.

Good Roleplaying Example wrote:
John ducked as Jill's shot flew over his head. He gripped his gun, closing his eyes and calming himself. He stood, firing back at her. This time he remained standing to see if his shot hit her.

Again, it isn't bad to have short posts, and you may have writer's block - that's okay once in a while, just not all the time. Try to have a decent length, and give your partner something to reply to.
